Created by Janet Jones, the VXN Workout is a dance-fitness brand focused on improving the physical and mental wellness of women through dance. Each class recreates the live-stage experience by incorporating trending choreography, musical remixes, and atmosphere lighting. As a result, participants are able to feel like performers. Our Mission is to merge entertainment, fashion and music through dance-fitness by creating an environment that promotes an overall emotional release, mind-body connection, as well as the sense of community. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VXN AND A DANCE CLASS? The phrases of movement included in VXN are choreographed with both physical fitness and artistic value in mind. The movement resembles “commercial choreography” (movement seen in concerts, music videos, live TV) to give participants the visceral experience of performing on stage.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VXN AND AN AVERAGE FITNESS CLASS? In a VXN class, the movement is formatted into different sequences or “phrases” which have a specific exercise goal (ex. cardiovascular, lower body, core). VXN puts them together to target both physical fitness & creative expression. VXN provides a full body workout because it includes peaks and troughs of intensity using both aerobic & anaerobic exercises.
EXERCISE PLUS! VXN is a form of exercise “plus” because it demands the integration of physical and cognitive skills in addition to facilitating emotional expression. In other words, VXN is just as much a brain activity as it is a physical activity. VXN integrates several brain functions at once --kinesthetic, rational, musical, and emotional-- further increasing your neural connectivity.
HOW MUCH PRIOR DANCE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED AND WHAT FITNESS LEVEL IS BEST SUITED FOR THE CLASS? Prior experience in dance is not necessary or required and the class will be suitable for various degrees of fitness. There are choreographed routines, however, we want you to have fun and enjoy the whole experience that this class offers. There is no perfect so do your best, keep moving and make it your own! You will progress from week to week.
COMMUNITY/WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? There is scientific evidence to explain why the #Vixenarmy feels like a sisterhood. That is because dancing as one (synchronizing) encourages people to feel closer to each other and it raises your pain tolerance. People experience a blurring of the self into their groups thanks to the synchronization that occurs while dancing. This is because when we watch someone else do the same thing at the same time as us, our brain ends up with a merged sense of us and them. It feels like we become one. It feels like you are part of something bigger than just yourself, and that you belong.

Classes are $12 each or Bundle & Save!
Attend a class to get VXN VIP ACCESS to 4 classes for $40 or 8 for $75 (bundles must be used within 60 days of purchase).
Simply register for your classes online and pay at the time of attendance via cash, check, credit card, Paypal or Venmo (there is a $3 admin. fee for credit card payments).

Masks are required for entry (and will also be provided).
Wear your workout gear-or dress up like a performer! But proper footwear (sneakers) is required.
If child care is an issue, there is a safe, socially distanced area for children to relax in.
Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early for your COVID screening and check in.
There are no refunds. If you register/purchase a ticket for a class and are unable to attend, your spot is forfeited.
